Undefeated American boxer, Jarrell Miller, has tipped his compatriot Deontay Wilder, to knock out former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua ahead of their proposed clash in Saudi Arabia in December.
While the fight hasn’t been signed, it’s said that both men are eager and willing, and the huge purse from Saudi Arabia is also motivating the former champions.
It’s one fight fans have called for for years now, and the winner will be well-placed to challenge for at least one world title.
Controversial heavyweight, Miller, who was found to have cheated in his doping tests just weeks before his bout with Joshua and was pulled from the event, made a prediction for the bout, believes Wilder can knock the British-Nigerian out.
“S**t. As much as I hate both of them, Wilder puts him in the hospital forever, bro,” Miller told BroBible.
Wilder has 42 knockouts from 43 wins; and the one fight that went the distance was later turned into a stoppage in the rematch. It means he’s knocked out every man he’s beaten, with Tyson Fury the only exception to his excellent record.
Although Fury has two wins and a draw against the American, he was still floored four times over the course of the trilogy. All in all, the odds say that Joshua has a hard task ahead.
However, Joshua is also known for his power punches with 22 knockouts from 25 wins. It’s these stats that lead many in the sport to believe the fight simply comes down to who lands first and who lands a hit the hardest.
