Many might not know the name, Justin Asiabaka, aka Jaytee, but they would be familiar with his voice, which can often be heard in actor, Charles Okocha, aka Igwe 2pac’s videos on social media.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, Jaytee stated that being a hype man was the only job he had. He said, “My career as a hype man started when I was in school. I was the social director for my department then, and I usually ‘hyped’ for events.

“However, I met Charles Okocha at a video shoot in Larry Gaga’s Lekki house in around 2017. He made a cameo appearance in the video shoot.

“That was around the time people started demanding the services of hype men for advertisements and events. Right now, hyping is my career, and that is where I earn a living from.”

Speaking on his working experience with Okocha, the hype man said, “Most of the things I say and do with Charles are unscripted.

“Charles has an infectious energy, and most times, we just go with the flow. One major opportunity hyping has given me is that I have been able to meet some of my role models at events.”
