Nigerian midfielder, Daniel Daga, has revealed his dream to play for Liverpool after confirming links with the Reds and other European teams, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 16-year-old starred for the Flying Eagles at the recent U-20 World Cup in Argentina where they reached the quarter-final of the competition losing 1-0 to South Korea.

Daga who currently plays for Nigerian National League side Dakkada FC after a spell with FC One Rocket has revealed that AC Milan, Liverpool, Watford, Club Brugge and Midtjylland are among the host of clubs looking to sign him.

He also hopes to emulate Napoli star, Victor Osimhen to stardom.

“Yes, many clubs (are interested),” Daga told NigeriaInfo.

“Many clubs apart from AC Milan, Liverpool, Anderlecht. Many other clubs are looking for me – Watford, Club Brugge, and in Denmark, Midtjylland.

“It’s true they are all looking for me. But I’m not yet at the point because I’m looking for where I can play. Because in two years, I’ll be playing at the top like Osimhen.”

The midfielder discussing Liverpool didn’t end there. He named the Reds as a team he would like to play for in the future as he outlined his desire to play and win the Champions League as well as the FA Cup within the next five years.

Daga added, “I want to see myself playing at Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd; play in the Champions League; play in the FA Cup, win the FA Cup and win Champions League in the next five years.

“Because I have the belief, the confidence, and boldness that I’m going to be there in the next five years, and I’ll be playing in the Super Eagles.

“I know Nigerians want to see me in Super Eagles and I believe myself to play in the national team. It may not be the time I’ll start playing yet, but I believe 100 percent I’ll play (for the) Super Eagles soon.”
