The African Diaspora Development Institute in Washington DC, USA, would be honouring the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, with the Arikana Excellence Award on September 29, 2023.

According to a statement from the institute, the award recognises Africans who have made remarkable contributions to advancing the socio-economic development of the African continent.

The US-based institute in a letter sent on July 16 and signed by DMV Chair, Dr Stella Jefferies; ADDI Vice President, Damien Cook and Agrippa Ezozo, Human Resources Global Director of the institute.

 The letter expressed the institute’s desire to recognise and commend distinguished media professionals for their exceptional commitment and contributions to the Pan-African community.

 The institute further revealed that it reserved such awards for individuals who had shown exceptional commitment and lasting difference to inspire others as exemplary role models.

Reacting to his nomination for the award, Ilobanafor, expressed his joy for the acknowledgement and recognition of his efforts and desire to bring Africa to the world, and the world to Africa.

Recall that in May 2022, the Enugu State-born media guru was honoured with the Global African Sheroes Union Award by the African Union – African Diaspora during the Global Pan African Root Synergy Roundtable Conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
