The entertainment industry has paid tributes to actors, Don Uchegbu and Afeez Agoro, who passed away during the week. A close associate of Uchegbu, Mayor Ofoegbu, announced the actor’s death on Facebook on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
He wrote, “I received the shocking news this morning and had to verify it from his family. Chai! Don Brymo my manchi. It’s hard to say goodbye.” The deceased’s colleagues also mourned him. Veteran actress, Ngozi Ezeonu, wrote, “Who are we to question God? He alone knows what happened. It’s well. Rest in peace.”
Actor, Pope Odonwondo, aka Junior Pope, said, “All who walk on earth must die but the true hero never dies. In our memory he will live forever.” On her part, actress, Destiny Etiko, commented, “May your soul rest in peace sir. You will forever be remembered.”
Also, Agoro, who was the tallest man in Nigeria, passed away on Wednesday night at Lagos University Teaching Hospital after experiencing some health complications. The death of the 48 year-old actor, who was 7ft 4 inches tall, came as such a shock to those who knew him because he was recovering from a successful hip surgery.
Fans, colleagues and residents of the Akoko area of Lagos State where he lived before his death have said that he would be missed.
