Heineken, a beer brand of Nigerian Breweries PLC, is planning to host what it calls one of the biggest music concerts in Nigeria in commemoration of its 150th anniversary celebration. The concert is a part of events put together to mark the milestone, starting from July to the end of the year.

Speaking during a media parley held during the week, the brand’s Portfolio Manager, Sampson Oloche, said, “We are going to be having some events across the country. They are basically anniversary parties, but we will be having a big one at the end of the year. We are going to convene probably the biggest concert in Nigeria this year, so the consumers are not left out. We are also going to have a collaboration with a fashion brand, and we are rolling out a 150 collection.”

Oloche added that the brand’s good time index will be a measuring tool to ascertain how well they are doing at their jobs at curating events that bring good times to their consumers.

On his part, a media personality, VJ Adams, stated that the brand’s sustainability and consistency in the beer market was a result of the attention it paid to its consumers. He said, “In 2021, when I went on a five-city tour with Heineken, I could tell that one of the most important factors for the brand, and for its sustainability and consistency, was paying attention to the consumers, and that’s all they’ve done.”

Meanwhile, another brand of the company, Legend Extra Stout, recently unveiled singer, Wande Coal, as its ambassador.

Speaking during the event, the company’s Portfolio Manager, Flavoured, Non-Lager, and Craft, Maria Shadeko, stated that Coal’s exceptional musical talent, authenticity, and ability to connect profoundly with fans were the qualities which made him the perfect representative for the brand.
