FC Shkupi Nigerian forward, Sunday Adetunji,  is reportedly unhappy at the North Macedonia club, PUNCH Sports Extra has learnt.

The former U-23 forward joined the 2022 North Macedonia champions in 2021 after a successful campaign at Rivers United in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Adetunji has featured in 62 matches across all competitions since joining the club, scoring 33 goals with 13 assists.

He emerged as the league’s top scorer when he finished with 20 league goals in 2022 and also became the first FC Shkupi player to score in the three tiers of European competitions in the just-concluded season.

Despite enjoying a perfect start to life in Macedonia, a close source to the former Super Eagles B striker told PUNCH Sports Extra that the player was no longer happy at FC Shkupi.

It is understood that Adetunji’s current travails at the club are not unconnected with potential rumours linking him with a move away from the club.

PUNCH Sports Extra had reported that the player caught the attention of Dynamo Kyiv earlier in the year and the Ukrainian side are reportedly set for a big-money move for Shkupi’s highly prized asset this summer.

However, our source claimed Shkupi are frustrating the player by trying to hold on to him against his wish, amid the interests.
